George Russell Takes First Place Hungarian Grand Prix Pole

George Russell is now on pole in Formula One for the first time in the season. Russell finishes 20th at the Hungary Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel is forced to retire from his participation in the French GP after crashing out after a crash, while his teammate enjoyed an impressive day. George Russell wins the Hungarian Grand Prix pole position for his career

George Russell, Mercedes’s new driver in Formula One, took his debut pole position in Hungary. The pole position this weekend witnessed the British driver take the lead over the Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso who finished in the top 10. There was some drama at Red Bull Racing too – Max Verstappen took P10 and Sergio Perez was P11. Both drivers have had an unsatisfactory qualifying session, and could only manage P10 and 11 respectively.

The British driver was forced to begin from the back of the grid to be in the top spot. It was his slow start that led to him being unable to finish on the row he was on. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are in the 2nd row. Max Verstappen failed to qualify for Q2, so he will be starting from the front row. Sergio Perez also qualified in the top 10 but failed to make it out of qualifying.

Sebastian Vettel loses in French GP

A stunning accident that left many wondering the cause, Sebastian Vettel crashed out of the French Grand Prix, leaving his teammate in the dust. After the crash, bits of asphalt all over the track. The safety car was deployed for the very first time this season. The safety vehicle was removed within two laps before the drivers resumed the race. Carlos Sainz, who had the wrong turn and spun off the track and ended up on gravel after a couple of laps. It was a setback for the German driver, who had an intense day.

Although Sebastian Vettel crashed out on lap 10, the race resumed under green. Sebastien Latifi won the race and Charles Leclerc came in second. Max Verstappen was fourth fastest and Felipe Alonso was sixth. Esteban Ocon as well as Carlos Sainz, McLaren’s McLaren drivers, completed the top ten. Kevin Magnussen, the last Red Bull driver to score one point, was chosen.

Nicholas Latifi finished 20th in the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The shocking result at the Hungarian Grand Prix saw Pole on the practice track and 20th during qualifying. It left F1 followers wondering why this young Briton did not make more. Practice was drenched frequently and all drivers had to take wet tires. Nicholas Latifi was the fastest in both the first and second segments. Late Safety Car that helped Max Verstappen take in the 2021 World Championship, further emphasized his heroics.

Frenchman, François Leroy is looking to make a point-scoring starting in his 3rd consecutive race weekend. This weekend is when Formula 2’s FIA Formula 2 Championship heads to the Circuit Paul Ricard, where Latifi has an impressive track history. The track is very familiar to Latifi, who has ridden in this race track before along with the first time in Hungary this year. Canadian Grand Prix was staged in Canada Grand Prix. The Canadian was 20th overall in FP1.
